Alberta Energy Providers was established to support and represent Alberta’s small business, farm, and residential consumers, particularly in matters related to electricity, natural gas, and water, as well as broader energy concerns.
Our educational efforts span a variety of outreach and engagement activities, helping consumers understand their utilities better. In terms of advocacy, we focus on representing the interests of residential, farm, and small business consumers in regulatory proceedings.
Additionally, we mediate disputes between consumers and utility companies. Our team of mediation officers is skilled in offering advice and information on key energy-related matters, such as understanding different energy options and interpreting charges on utility bills. This comprehensive approach ensures consumers are well-informed and their interests are effectively advocated for.
